In Short

What Are Website Accessibility Services?

Website accessibility services make a website usable by people with disabilities, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor or cognitive impairments. The work is measured against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and includes auditing the site with automated tools and manual testing, fixing the code, content and design issues found, and monitoring so new content stays accessible.

Why our accessibility work holds up

Real Testing, Real Fixes and a Clear Record

Tested by People, Not Just Scanners

Automated tools catch only part of the problem, so every audit includes manual keyboard, screen reader, zoom and contrast testing.

Real Fixes in Your Code

Our developers fix the issues in your actual code and content, then re-test each fix. We never rely on overlay widgets.

A Record You Can Stand Behind

You receive a prioritized report, a remediation record and an accessibility statement that shows your commitment.

Pricing

How Accessibility Work Is Priced

Accessibility projects are scoped by the size and complexity of your site. You get a fixed proposal after a free initial review.

Audit & remediation
Fixed-price quote

A full WCAG 2.2 AA audit, a prioritized report, remediation of the issues found, re-testing and an accessibility statement for your site.

How you get your exact price
1

Free initial review

We look at your key templates and journeys to scope the audit.

2

Fixed proposal

A clear scope and one fixed price for the audit and remediation.

3

No hourly surprises

Your price only changes if you add new scope, and never without your approval.

What shapes your price

Your quote is built from these four things, agreed in writing before we start.

1

Number of templates

Audits cover every unique template and key journey, not every single page.

2

Interactive features

Forms, menus, sliders, modals, checkouts and portals need deeper testing.

3

Documents and media

PDFs, videos and audio may need remediation, captions or transcripts.

4

Ongoing publishing

Sites that publish often benefit from monitoring and editor training.

Built for AI Search

Accessible Websites Are Easier for Search and AI to Read

The structure that helps screen readers also helps Google and AI assistants. Accessibility fixes make your pages easier to understand, trust and recommend.

1

Semantic structure

Logical headings and landmarks show search engines and AI how each page is organized.

2

Descriptive alt text

Images are described for people using screen readers, and for search engines too.

3

Captions and transcripts

Video and audio become text that people can read and search engines can index.

4

Clean, fast code

Accessible markup is lean, crawlable and quick to load on any device.

Why It Matters

Why Website Accessibility Matters

Accessibility opens your business to more customers, strengthens SEO and reduces legal risk.

Overview

Why invest in website accessibility?

Many people live with a disability that affects how they use the web. If they cannot navigate your menu, complete your form or read your content, they cannot become your customers.

Accessibility also overlaps heavily with good usability and SEO, and reduces the risk of the legal complaints and demand letters many businesses now face.

Quick take
Reach more people

Open your website to more customers

Accessible websites can be used by people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification, a large and loyal audience that many competitors exclude.

Helps people who
Reduce legal risk

Reduce legal and compliance risk

Accessibility lawsuits and demand letters have become common in the United States, and many regions have accessibility requirements for digital services. A documented audit, remediation and statement show a good-faith commitment.

Better for everyone

Better usability for every visitor

Readable text, visible focus, clear forms and captions help people on small screens, in bright sunlight or in noisy places, so accessibility improves the experience for all of your visitors.

What is WCAG?

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for web accessibility, published by the W3C. Most organizations aim for WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA.

WCAG 2.2, published by the W3C in October 2023, keeps the WCAG 2.1 success criteria (apart from 4.1.1 Parsing, which was removed) and adds nine new ones, covering focus visibility, dragging movements, target size, consistent help and accessible authentication. A site that meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA also meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

No. Overlay widgets do not fix the underlying code and can interfere with assistive technology. Real accessibility comes from fixing your design, code and content, which is what we do.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities. It does not name a technical web standard for private businesses, so WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA is the benchmark most organizations work to. We help you meet WCAG; for legal advice, please consult your attorney.

Requirements depend on your location, industry and audience, and many businesses face accessibility claims. We help you meet WCAG, but for legal advice please consult your attorney.

It depends on how many templates, journeys and documents we test, and remediation depends on what the audit finds. We agree the scope and the dates with you before we start.

Yes. Our developers remediate issues directly in your code and content, then re-test to verify each fix.

No. Automated tools catch only a portion of accessibility issues. Keyboard, screen reader and manual review are essential, and are included in every audit.

Yes. After remediation we prepare an accessibility statement describing the standard you meet, any known limitations and how users can report problems.

Ongoing monitoring and editor training catch new issues as content is published. Monitoring is available on its own or with our care plans.

Yes. Many accessibility fixes, such as a logical heading structure, descriptive links, alt text, captions and transcripts, also make your pages easier for search engines and AI assistants to read and understand. See our technical SEO service.
